Meow, I’m Jacob. I’m the eldest of the furry felines in this household. There’s nothing I haven’t seen or heard in this house. Seeing “little guy” everyday reminds me of my youth. He puts a smile on my face. I need all the happy, positive vibes I can get nowadays. I lack the energy that I once had. A couple years ago, I was drinking tons of water, but not eating very much. I didn’t want to be a whiner like the dog, so I kept my discomfort to myself. It wasn’t until I started urinating outside my litter box that my owner realized there was a problem. I was diagnosed (through bloodwork, urinalysis, and ultrasound) with early onset kidney disease which could lead to kidney failure. But it’s nothing my owners can’t handle. They started feeding me a special food made just for this condition, which is easier for my kidneys to help prolong their function. Let me tell you, if it wasn’t for Liberty Veterinary Hospital, our owners wouldn’t have been able to catch it in time, and I might have been a goner. We’re all very grateful to the Veterinarians at Liberty Veterinary Hospital.
